I almost didn't post today, but here I am tonight.
I sat on the riverbank today. The green, lush, grass spread along the bank and I sat in it with my fishing pole line dangling down into the clear blue water. I could see fish swarming, but no chance I'd catch one. I didn't use a hook. I just like the feeling of fishing, not actually catching one.
I had friends with me. It was a friends kind of day. Three friends sat and watched me from a distance. Two on a park bench and one on the grass in front. We all had a lovely day. The sun was shining, a soft breeze carried along the sweet fragrance of blooms from everywhere.
We sat together, we good friends, in mostly silence, yet in all intimacy. Our hearts laughed together and understood about friends and fishing and dreams and such....
I'm blessed to find friends such as these, and to spend time with them on such a magnificent day.
I have another friend, who is called Jane. She isn't furry or quiet, but she's very nice. She sits on park benches and loves green grass and blue sky. I haven't seen this friend for a very long time, because I hide myself away a lot.
Someone took a picture of us today. You'll recognize me. I'm the one with the fishing pole....there I am...sitting on the bank. Sandy is on the grass, Mia and Oscar on the bench.
We gathered ourselves up when it was time to do just that, and as friends often do, they stayed inside my head till now.
Some folks would call my friends, "just tubes" and, in fact, say the entire picture was created using tubes and my friends don't even exist at all. And if they did, I'd just say, "Oh?" There's not much to say to such people.
G'night friends, Nita

Nita, you are such a good writer. This made me smile all the way through it.
I'm so glad you started blogging. I love visiting here.
You really had me going with this one Nita. Until I saw the picture following the post.
You are sure more diligent about posting than I am. I get to my blog about once a week. LOL
